Ok...as promised...here is a photo of the actual tank monitor circuit board on our black tank.  It has a self adhesive back, so once you are sure about the placement, you just peel and stick.  Billy used duck tape for a temporary fix.  That way he could check to make sure his placement was correct before permanently adhering it to the tank.   We are still here in Florida at my Uncle's marina.

The before and after of our Command Center.  I do plan on making a new label to replace the lovely duck tape model my hubby installed.  You see the new tank monitor panel included a switch for our water pump.  So, Billy removed the original water pump switch and then moved the tank heater switch to the water pump's original position.  That gave us the room we needed to mount the new panel onto

We had some excitement here at the marina the other day.  The Sheriffs department was doing a little training or practice exercise....at least that is what we surmise....  These guys all showed up.....waiting and watching the sky above.....  Then this guy shows up.....scooping up water.....  and heading.....who knows where.....this was repeated about 4 or 5 times This guy saw it coming...

Billy's project is underway....so I thought I would post a few photos of the "journey" so far. This is a photo of our current command center, you can see in the left hand corner the systems monitor.  That section is what we need to replace.  Billy has removed the board from its panel and also removed the tank heater and water pump switches from the panel in preparation for the next step.

Last Friday found us and with family and friends at our favorite bar in downtown Ybor.....Elmers!  My Dad and my Uncle seem to know everybody there.....we always have a great time.  Somewhere towards dinner time, we all decided to head out to the Trolley for a ride over to Jackson's.  A great restaurant.....on it's own little island.  The food there was outstanding....we had a big round table

Visited the Tampa Zoo the other day and I have to say I have been to better Zoos, but I did find some interesting critters there..... Would you believe this "baby" rhino is only 12 days old? Sorry about the delay in posting on our new toilet install, but I needed a day of rest!  Here is a photo of our old toilet....  What I like about this one is the china bowl....it has a lip on the inside and it comes up high enough on the back to hide all the hoses.  We don't have it on here, but there is also a plastic piece that wraps around the bottom area and hides all that as well.  Here is

Yes, we made it.  We are at another Passport America Park called Pecan Park RV Resort.  It is a nice park, close to shopping and the Jacksonville Zoo.  It is also close to the airport....so there are a couple of times during the day when the planes are a bit loud, but nothing too bad.  You are also right next to a flea market.....don't waste your time there...yuck! We enjoyed a simply lovely day on the Tybee Island beach on Sunday.  The weather could not have been more perfect.   The sun sparkled and danced across the water.....We saw quite a few surfers out on the water....all in wetsuits cause that water is mighty chilly! I loved watching the seagulls....I think these guys were having a meeting.....wonder what about?? Little Sandpiper picking his way

We made out trip to Savannah without any problems...I think it was around 2pm when we checked into the Hardeeville RV Park.  Hardeeville is actually in South Carolina, but it is only 10 miles from downtown Savannah and you can't beat the price.  They currently are running a special for Passport America holders.....you can have that special rate ($21 for 50 amp) for as many days as you like.  I

Yesterday was a travel day....headed over to Elko GA....about 30 miles south of Macon.  They say "timing is everything" and that sure held true for us yesterday!  We left Montgomery around 9am....earlier then usual for us.  I don't know exactly when the severe weather hit Montgomery, but I know it did some damage and left many without power.  We managed to stay just ahead of the storm all day,

Our electric project has been put on hold.  We were ready to go and did a "test" light up on our LED strip and found that the strip had a short.  Only part of the thing lit up.  Just our luck!  If there is a defective "anything" on the shelf, they send it to us....at least it sure seems that way sometimes.  Sent back the faulty strip and got a refund.  I think we are "outta of the mood" for now.

Yesterday was a travel day....a bit longer this time.  We left Madison around 10am and arrived here in Lafayette around 2pm.  We decided not to take the interstate.....the 65 corridor between St Louis and Lafayette has heavy traffic....usually construction....and that ends up leading to a lot of accidents.  So, we stuck to the highways....and that worked well for us.  A nice relaxing drive

The last few days have been really busy here in Elkhart at Recreational Specialties.  Ron and Dan have been working hard building, diagnosing, and repairing!  The first two items on our list were our AC (making a funny noise) and our furnace (stopped working altogether).  Dan removed the furnace and found that the burner and igniter wire needed to be replaced.  The AC took a little longer.  It

Well, we made it to Elkhart to the Mor/ride facility. We spent last night in their RV parking area. They have 4 or 5 spots with electric hookups only. We were up by 6am. The photo below of our indoor/outdoor temp gauge....kinda says it all...... Yes, I did....and I had another one of those great margaritas!  We had such a nice time with our friends, Arlene and Kevin.  Great conversation and great food...just can't beat that!  I managed to "pace" myself a little better with this margarita and after dinner we did a little window shopping in downtown Palm Springs.  Window shopping is about all we could afford to do there....pretty pricey
