Thanks for the invite to the March Kerrville gathering, but DH and I will have to pass this time around. We will not be heading back east until the end of March and then we plan on taking I40. At this point in our lives (still paying a mortgage), we can’t justify those little side trips in our budget. I can’t wait till the day when we are truly free and can go where the wind and our desire take us.....but for now, we have an agenda and we need to stick to it. We originally thought we might go over into San Diego for awhile before heading back, but after running all the numbers we decided to wait till next year. DH’s social security starts in May and hopefully we will have sold the house by next fall. Those two things will make a world of difference for us. We will be attending the rv dreams rally in October, hopefully we will see many of you there then.
One thing this new lifestyle has afforded me is the simple pleasure of reading a book. I love to read, but I always felt guilty for taking the time to read. Once I start a good book it is hard for me to put down. I like mysteries and if they have a supernatural or scary element to them..........all the better. I just finished a Stephen King book entitled ‘Duma Key’. It was sooooo good and a real ‘edge of your seat’ thriller!
I also am going to start walking again---long overdue. I walked the park and found that once around is about a mile. I think I’ll start with 2 miles and work my way up from there. We also heard about some sand dune trails not far from here so I may check those out in the near future.
I guess that is about it for today. Reading, walking, and oh yeah---enjoying my sweet little hummingbirds that stop by to feed. So tiny and so precious----isn’t life truly awesome. All you have to do is stop, look, and listen......you will be amazed at what awaits you............and best of all, it doesn’t cost a dime!
