Here it is the new rocker I spoke of yesterday. Isn't she a beauty! Got her outta of the box and cut all the tags off, set her up outside on our rug, and..........rocker's don't rock on rocks! Yes, and we are surrounded by them (rocks that is).....I won't be doing much "rock-in" at our present location. I guess I'll have to add that to my "it" factor when looking for our next destination. Must have a place for my rocker to rock!!

After the disappointment of my rocking chair, I got the paints out and worked on my table. I'm almost finished so I'll wait and post photos of the finished product in a few days.

Took the furballs for a walk out in the surrounding desert. Got a little lost. I could still see the trailers and all, but somehow we got off the path we were on and onto another one which dumped us out at the wrong trailer park. We had to cut through some brush, but we got back on track and made it back to the correct park. The furballs were really pulling at the lead---I think they knew we were turned around for awhile and they were determined to find their way back one way or another.

We went out for pizza tonight with the rv-dreams gang. This is Linda and Howard's last evening here. Tomorrow they move on to a new location. We are going to miss them---it was nice being their next door neighboors for awhile.

After pizza it was back to the fiver, a little tv time and then off to bed.......

We arrived at the SKP Saguaro Co-op of Arizona Park in Benson around noon. We were in luck it seems. They had a space available so we paid for a month’s stay. In the course of the registration, we mentioned we knew Howard and Linda and ask what lot they were in.....the clerk looked up and said, “right next door”! Now, how lucky was that!

We got to our lot and found Howard and Linda were both out and about for the day. We got set up and around 4pm we decided to go out and get some dinner. Just as we were set to leave, Linda rounded the corner in their jeep. Ya should have seen her face when she recognized the two of us. Big hugs were exchanged!! Then she invited us to come over to the rec area for “happy hour” to meet and greet. Howard was finishing up his golf and would be joining us there. When Howard walked into the clubhouse I stood up, arms outstretched and yelled his name. Again the look on his face was priceless when he realized who was yelling! More hugs! We had a awesome time getting to know the other folks and then later a bunch of us headed over for the famous .25 cent wing night at the country club. There we got to see Deb and Don Zink. It was so nice to see some fellow rv dreamers---like coming home!

It was a great day, but we were both so very tired from 3 days of travel. Looking forward to staying put and spending time with everyone. I’m not sure I’ll be able to keep up with Linda’s social life at present. I think the next few days may be spent resting and relaxing.

Almost forgot---today is our 25th wedding anniversary and we couldn't have had a better day!

Finally, here are some pictures of our Hillbilly Party. That is Howard and Linda accepting a small plaque with words of appreciation on it from the RV-Dreams family.
These guys are part of the group that entertained us the evening. The little guy on the left was a real HOOT! We also had a Hillbilly contest that night.
Several folks put on their best hillbilly look for the evening. The other "big event" that happened that evening was the drawing for the raffle. It was a 50/50 raffle. Half went to keeping the rv-dreams web site up and running and the other half went to the winning ticket. Bill and I NEVER win anything--it is just not "in the cards" for us. We did talk about what we would do IF we did win, but we never thought it would happen. We had decided we would donate our portion back to Howard and Linda. They do so much for all of us. Well, I'm sure you know where this is going----Our name was drawn as the winners. I think we were both in shock. It took a few minutes for us to realize we had won. I walked up to accept the money $500 big ones and then promptly returned the money back to Linda and Howard. They were very touched by our gift. It was the right thing to do. Several folks came up and told us how great it was that we had chosen to give back, but we also found a lot of other folks who were going to do the same thing if they had won. We were truly blessed that evening. Some folks may not understand, but all of us RV-Dreamers--we know---because we know Howard and Linda. As I said, It was the right thing to do!
