Thanks for all those ‘happy thoughts’! The grouting procedure went well and it looks fantastic. Still in ‘home improvement’ mode......The master bedroom and bath are now freshly painted and I am working on the trim.

In the middle of all this home improvement chaos, I’m also looking after my teenage niece. My brother is out of town and my niece does not like staying at the house at night alone.....soooo, I’m spending my nights at my brother’s house this week. She’s certainly no trouble, but I’m not used to getting up at 6:15 am to see her off to school. Man....that is early.....and I’m not sleeping well at night.....ya know, strange bed and the anticipation of the alarm going off. Anyway, after she is off to school I head out myself. The first day I went back to the fiver. It was about 7:30 am and I knew DH was still in bed. Got out my key and started to unlock the door....well, just as I was turning the key in the lock, DH stumbles to the door to unlock it from the inside. I don’t know what exactly happened, but the result was the door stayed locked! DH and the furballs on the inside.....me on the outside......and a locked door between us...LOL! This is frustrating to say the least. I told DH to open the largest window at the back of the fiver and hand me out the furballs so I could at least let them out for their morning constitutional. Then I suggested DH remove the screws surrounding the lock on the inside and see if he could see what the problem might be....obviously using the window to go in and out of the fiver was not going to be convenient for the long term....fortunately DH was able to fix the lock within a few minutes. Thank goodness, I was so ready for my coffee! Of course, this whole event was my fault. DH insisted I have a lesson on how to lock and unlock the fiver door.....jeez, it is a wonder I can still feed myself....LOL....just kidding honey!

  1. That sounds like Sherri...if things go wrong I am the one to blame.
