Yesterday we stayed pretty close to the fiver for most of the day. Cosmo was still having some problems. We did venture out to the beauty shop so I could get a hair cut. That turned out to be a mistake. One of the things about full time rving that I don't just never know who is going to be cutting your hair. I guess I have been lucky so far, but yesterday my luck ran out. I went to the shop I had went to last time we were here, but had a different stylist. She was very nice, but very young....not a lot of experience I'm betting. Any rate, I ended up with the shortest hair cut I think I have ever had in my life. Oh, I know it will grow. I just feel a little self conscious about it right now. Kinda like having a big red bump on the end of my nose........I think everyone is looking at it and wondering what it is..... To make matters worse, when we got back to the fiver Cosmo had had another incident. I had been smart enough to protect the carpet before we left. I had placed a big vinyl table cloth over it so although the mess was an easy clean up it was still an unpleasant mess to come home too.

This AM Cosmo seems to be feeling better and we made it through the night without anymore "incidents". Hopefully the illness or whatever it was has run it's course. Wish I could say the same about my hairdo!

Planning on staying close to the fiver again today. I want to make sure Cosmo is completely recovered and I feel the need to clean everything and get some laundry done. I guess I just want to 'disinfect' everything after Cosmo's illness.

Lastly.......we have been unable to get our satellite tv dish up and running. It is our first time setting it up and we are certainly struggling. Not sure what we are doing wrong at this point, but I imagine we will be working on that today as well.

As you can tell, things are not exactly.....going our way.....these days. But this too shall pass, I'm sure the 'goode' times are right around the corner.

  1. Bad hair day? That's what hats were made for! I've had my share of bad hair cuts in the last 5 years and I can't understand how a hairdresser can screw up a bob hair cut but they can, trust me! That's why I have a collection of baseball hats!

  2. I was scalped the last time I got my hair cut in Sacramento. After 2-1/2 months it was finally long enough to get another haircut, this time in NY, where I got the best cut ever. (My hair grows really fast, by the way). Now I need a trim but I'm in NC, so it's a real crapshoot what kind of cut I'll end up with. Take heart though, it does grow out!

  3. I can't remember the last time I've had a decent haircut. We move around so often I am always looking for a new place for a cut and seem to strike out over and over again.

When it gets really shaggy I've even taken the scissors to it myself instead of having a new hairdresser take a whack at it.

    It's very frustrating.

  4. I'd rather have to find a new doctor than a new hairstylist. I've had my share of the not so good cuts, and two excellent ones. Right now I need one again before we leave on our cruise 11/30. Told Stu that if I don't get one than I'm splurging and paying for a shipboard one. LOL!
