Today was busy once again. It was another shopping day for us. I wanted to check out the local Jo Anns. DH needed to stop in at Lowes for some screws and brackets. He decided he wanted to add some extra support under the cornice frames he made me. We also stopped at the visitor’s center to get a yuma map and some brochures on AZ attractions. Last but not least, we stopped at our favorite Wal Mart to pick up a few odds and ends and fill up our 7 gal jug with drinking water. Some of you may or may not know that the water here in Yuma is high in sodium. Dh says he can’t really taste it, but I do. It is not a strong salty taste, but it does have a different taste and “feel” in your month. Plus it really makes for lousy coffee!
At the Jo Anns, I found some really nice fabric that went well with my new drapery panels. I’m going to make some “doggie covers” for the furniture. Our dogs don’t really shed all that much, but they do bring in their fair share of the great outdoors. Sometimes it gets deposited on our furniture. I’m not quite sure of the design aspect yet, but I’ll post photos once I have them done. I know a lot of us travel with furbabies, so maybe these will be of interest to some of you. The design needs to be simple, stay put, and above all washable! Ok, back to the sewing table........
